Tea is the second most popular drink in the world.

Jobs in tea picking and production are labor intensive and millions of families around the world rely on working in the tea sector.

Highest tea producing countries= India, China, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Malawi, Vietnam

Highest exports: Kenya and Sri Lanka

Current Issues:
-The price of tea has decreased due to oversupply on the market.
-Workers receiving less benefits and lower wages, a.k.a TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT

There are four international companies that control the tea sector: Unilever, Van Rees, James Finlay, and Tate Tetley
